What's inside
What's inside
A composite Mood score, not just a mood pick
Mood, Energy, Sleep hours, and Stress each contribute to one weighted 1.0–5.0 Mood score — it sometimes reads a little different from your raw Mood pick, which is the point of a composite, not a mismatch.
Triggers & Habits show what's actually correlated
Open any Trigger or Habit, such as Work deadline, Meditation, or Poor sleep, to see every day you tagged it, plus its Avg mood, so you can see what's actually helping instead of guessing.
Weeks compare themselves to the week before
Each Week rolls up its own Entries logged and Avg mood, then compares that to the previous week through a self-relation, showing 📈 Trending up, 📉 Trending down, or ➡️ Holding steady.
A gentle streak, no penalty for skipping
Streak counts up when two entries land on back-to-back days, and quietly resets the moment a day is skipped — no red, no guilt, just information.
Might need extra care, not a scoreboard
The dashboard surfaces your roughest days without turning them into a ranking — a gentle place to notice a pattern before it becomes one.
A month view built for Notion's Free plan
By month groups entries into a grid you can scan for the shape of the month — a stand-in for a mood heat-map since Notion's Free plan doesn't support chart blocks.
How it works
How it works
Daily Entries log Mood, Energy, Sleep hours, and Stress, which combine into one composite Mood score rather than just the raw Mood pick. Entries link to Triggers & Habits (tag whatever applied that day) and to a Week. Each Trigger or Habit rolls up the average Mood score of every day it was tagged, and each Week rolls up its own average and compares it to the previous week's, through a self-relation, to show whether things are trending up or down.

How to use
- 01
Mood score is never just your Mood pick — it's a weighted composite of Mood, Energy, Sleep hours and Stress. Sometimes it reads a little different from the raw Mood you chose (an "Okay" day dragged lower by bad sleep, or lifted by good energy) — that gap is the point: a single mood pick alone would miss it.
- 02
Tag each entry with whatever Triggers & Habits applied that day. Open any one of them to see every day you tagged it, plus its Avg mood — the fastest way to actually see what's helping (or not), instead of guessing.
- 03
Every entry links to a Week, and that Week's Entries logged, Avg mood and Trend all compute themselves — nothing to total by hand. Open a Week's own page to see just its entries.
- 04
Might need extra care on the dashboard catches your roughest days — not a scoreboard, just a gentle place to notice a pattern before it becomes one.
- 05
By month groups entries into a Free-plan-friendly stand-in for a mood calendar heat-map — scan down the Vibe column for the shape of your month.
- 06
Streak counts up automatically whenever two entries land on back-to-back days, and quietly resets to a fresh start the moment a day is skipped — no penalty, no red, just information.
- 07
Photo on a Daily entry is entirely optional — drop one in if you feel like it, skip it if you don't.
- 08
Pair this with Workout Tracker for the physical side of how you're feeling, and Health Records & Medications for appointments and meds alongside it.

§ FAQ
FAQ
Does Notion have a mood tracker?
Not built in. Mood & Wellness Journal is a Notion template that adds one: Daily Entries compute a composite Mood score from your Mood, Energy, Sleep hours, and Stress, and Triggers & Habits show what's actually correlated with better or worse days.
Can Notion show a mood calendar or heat-map?
Not a true color-gradient heat-map — Notion's Free plan doesn't support chart blocks. This template's By month view groups entries into a grid you scan down the Vibe column, a Free-plan-friendly stand-in for one.
Is there a free Notion mood tracker widget?
This isn't a phone home-screen widget — it's a Notion template, used inside the Notion app on desktop or mobile, not a widget on your lock screen. It's also not a free download; it's part of the $47 Templitize Bundle.
How is the Mood score different from just picking a mood?
It's a weighted composite of Mood, Energy, Sleep hours, and Stress, so it can read a little different from your raw Mood pick — an 'Okay' day dragged lower by bad sleep, for example. That gap is the point of a composite, not a bug.
Does it work on Notion's Free plan?
Yes — every rollup, formula, and self-relation in this template works on Notion's Free plan.
