Notion Home Templates
These seven templates split into three jobs: running the household day to day, feeding it, and handling the bigger one-off events around a home. Household Hub and Family Organizer both cover daily life, but at different scopes: Household Hub is chores specifically, while Family Organizer covers events, chores, appointments and school for every family member in one place. Meal Planner & Grocery List and Recipe Box work together on food, one plans the week and builds the grocery list, the other is where recipes actually live and get rated over time. Moving Planner, First Home Tracker and Home Inventory are for bigger, less frequent moments: moving house, buying a first home, and knowing what you own.
If you already use Family Organizer, Household Hub's Chores and Chore Log may feel redundant, since Family Organizer tracks chores too, just alongside events, appointments and school rather than on their own. Recipe Box is where a recipe's ingredients, tags and cook history live long-term, rated and rebuilt from your own Cook Log over time. Meal Planner & Grocery List has its own separate Recipes database, built for planning a week and auto-building a grocery list from your Pantry; the two don't share data automatically, since each is its own standalone Notion duplicate, so a recipe you want in both lives in both. First Home Tracker picks up before Moving Planner does: house hunting and financing come first, moving-day logistics come after you actually have keys.
Start with Family Organizer if you want one place for the whole household's schedule, or start with Household Hub instead if chores specifically are the thing falling through the cracks. Add Recipe Box the first time you catch yourself hunting for a recipe you know you've cooked before, and Meal Planner & Grocery List once you're ready to plan a whole week at a time. First Home Tracker is for the house-hunting phase; Moving Planner picks up once you have an address. Home Inventory is worth doing once, any time, for insurance purposes as much as day-to-day use.

§ FAQ
FAQ
What Notion templates help run a household?
Household Hub tracks chores and who did them last. Family Organizer covers the wider household: events, chores, appointments and school, by family member. Meal Planner & Grocery List and Recipe Box handle food, and Moving Planner, First Home Tracker and Home Inventory cover the bigger, less frequent moments.
Does Notion have a family organizer template?
Yes. Family Organizer tracks Family Members, Events, Chores, Appointments and School in one place, so opening any family member shows how their week is actually going. Household Hub covers a narrower slice of the same territory, chores only, for households that don't need the full family-schedule system.
Can Notion plan meals and build a grocery list?
Yes. Meal Planner & Grocery List builds a week's grocery list from what's actually missing against your Pantry, based on the recipes you plan to cook, rather than a list typed by hand.
Does the Meal Planner track calories or macros?
No. It plans meals, builds a grocery list from your Pantry, and lets you rate recipes; it doesn't track calories or macronutrients. If nutrition tracking specifically is what you need, this template isn't built for that.
Do the home and family templates work on Notion's Free plan?
Yes, all seven work on Notion's Free plan.
